Hi, it’s Lauren here. 
I want to share news about a trip I’m going on. I am going to the center of Australia. I am going by boat. The boat is called The Spirit Of Tasmania and is docked at Devonport. We leave on Friday between 12-1pm and it takes 4-5 hours to get to Devonport. We should arrive at Devonport by 5pm.
The boat goes over night and we get off at 6 o’clock in the morning the next day. We get off in Melbourne. We then drive out of Melbourne and stop for breakfast a few towns later. We are going to a museum on our way. We plan to leave there about 12 noon, then keep on driving towards Adelaide.
We then drive up to Alice Springs where we plan to stock up on supplies. Then we drive to Gemtree, a caravan park with a cafe, petrol station and grocery store! They also have toilets, showers and washing machines. We are staying at Gemtree for 2 weeks. During these 2 weeks, we will be fossicking in the ground at Hartz Range, looking for aquamarine, zircons and garnets. We will also be climbing Ayres Rock. We might be riding some camels around Ayres Rock!!! We also may camp at the mud tank which is a fossicking area so we can fossick next to our camp.
