Hi there,
Jack and Oscar here.

On the 24th of June we went to Symmons Plains. From our class there was Charlie, Thomas, Connor, Nicholas and us (Jack and Oscar). In total, we had about 30 runners from our school go to Symmons Plains. We had to go on a bus ride which took 3 hours to get there! We had a great trip on the way up and back. Symmons Plains is near Launceston, between Campbell Town and Perth, and it is also next to a race car track! It was really loud on the way up but on the way back it was even a little louder.
In total, there were over 1900 Grade 3-6s students from all around the state at the event. When we got there the the Grade 6s were first to run, then the 5s, the 4s and lastly, the Grade 3s. Jack came 186th and though Oscar went he didn’t race. Charlie came 102nd. Mikayla, one of our Grade 3 girls but from another class, came 7th out of 240 people!
It started to rain when the Grade 4s raced so when the Grade 3 girls finished we all went back to the bus. When we got to Campbell Town we went to the Lolly Shop. The bus from St Aloysius (the Catholic school in our town) ran out of fuel so we had to pick them up on the way back!
So bye for now,
Jack and Oscar
